Savings groups and educational investments (full report)

This research explores how savings groups can help break down the financial barriers to education. Based on a literature review and qualitative research in two communities in rural Ghana, this report shows how participation in savings groups can directly support school attendance, and, over the longer term, indirectly support educational investments through their effects on livelihoods, health and nutrition, and household decision-making.
